Names of Lecturers

Hello All,

During our East Point Days, we had so much fun and a small percentage of that can be attributed to our lecturers and the names we had given them. It was so much fun to call them by the names we nominated to them. Most of the time we have been calling them with that name softly and within our friend circle. Now lets share that to all.

Lets see how many of our lecturers were lucky enough to be named by us and unlucky for it being published on net!!

A small Footage of the happenings and the miss happenings.

Tips to use event logger and conversation

Event: People who want to attend it, do the following:

A> If you are already logged in and it gives you the option (1) I am going. (2) Not going. Please select your option.

B> If you are a follower, then on the right you will see followers list. Sign in there and you will get the options (1) I am going. (2) Not going. Please select your option.

C> If you are not a follower, then you gotta click on "Join site to RSVP" and then click on "Follow" button found on the top-right corner of the new window opened. Then, Select your account, log in using your ID and select one of the options.

This is the best way to know who all are interested in coming to the event.

Below is a Conversation, created using Google conversations.

Here you can see a conversation that is open to all. Please sign in and take part in the conversation if it interests you.

Since our home page is a bit heavy, it generally take few seconds for the previous conversations to come up, meanwhile you can sign in.

This saves a lot of time as this is a real time conversation. There is no need of sending those 'n' number of mails to all and also avoids the 'n' number of replies that we get (I know this is what formed PIRT, but there is always room for improvement) . Also at times we may forget to mail it to someone. Sometimes we mail it to someone's wrong mail ID, or a ID which the person does not check often. So, as a solution, we will be using Google conversations.

If you need some one to take part in the conversation, you can invite them by simply clicking on invite, once you are logged in.

PIRT Loyalty Points

PIRT introduces "Loyalty Points"

PIRT wants to give back something to it's loyal followers!! PIRT will be awarding Loyalty Points to it's followers.

Eligibility:
You have to be a follower of the Blog to earn the points.

How to earn the points?
A follower can earn the points in many ways:
  • 1 point for one comment posted from 12th February 2010.
  • You can also earn points by winning some contests that happen at our blog.
  • By taking part in the activities of our forum. For eg: If there is a one day get together, all the people who attended will get 5 points, two day trip attenders will earn 10 points and so on. (it may vary and the points that can be earned on a particular activity will be mentioned in the particular post much before the day of the event)
Why is this needed?
Pirtans make PIRT, PIRT does not make Pirtans. So, to give back what PIRT has got from the followers and also it will be an index to show who is the most "Active Follower".

There will be a table maintained in the blog to show everyone's points and a post to report the earnings. With this we can see the points leader and the order of most active followers. Awards such as Pirtan of the trimester, semester and Year will be given.

So guys and gals what are you waiting for, lets start Pirting!!!!

PS: our first contest has already started.....

Reagan leaves to Canada

It's Canada calling for Reagan. Rogers, the telecom tycoon in Canada needs a Pirtan for their project!

Once again a Pirtan stands to haul a MNC from the crisis. This is supposed to be a six month long project. Hope Reagan Bags the role and makes us proud.
.
PIRT hopes that all his efforts are converted to recognition that will help him grow from strength to strength. Canadians are very friendly and a Canada is a non-racist country. So, we are sure that Reagan will be welcomed in Canada.

Road Trip!!!! Bikers gear up!!!

All guys and gals who are in for a road trip gear up. Me and my friends have planned for a road trip to Parambikulam. Its a wildlife Sanctury, National park and is filled with wild animals and its a awesome forest...

For further information google Parambikulam or Parambikulam top slip...
This is the same place I had proposed instead of the Wayanad trip. So most of the Pirtans would be knowing about this place.

But unlike true bikers, we will be sharing bikes... two on each bike. The road trip starts on 5th of march. All have time to decide. Already 4 Bullets, 1 Pulsar 200, 1 Fiero and 1 Pulsar 150 have confirmed and that makes 14 of us. Our estimation is of 8-10 bikes, if any of u Pirtans want to join, can join if you think you are compatible to my group of friends. Overall trip may come up to 750-800 Km. A car will also be accompanied for supplies.

View my Adventurous Bandipur trip with the same gang on picassa.

Innovative Film City

Hey Pirtans... I saw an ad for Dirt racing so I called up the Innovative film City and found out the details..

Option 1:
There are about 21 attractions like rides, amusements and museums. So, pay an entry fee of RS. 50 and go to what ever we want. We will have to pay for each and every thing, and all the rides may come up to RS. 1565

Option 2:
Take a package Of 399 and we can go to all the 10 Museums, and if we want to go to others we have to pay.

Option 3:
Take a package Of 699 and we can go to all the 21 attractions and rides. This includes Go Karting.

Option 4:
Deal a corporate package. If we get about 15 people together we can get a customized package done. We can include what ever we want. Generally this is for a group of 30 or more but some how the executive agreed to give this if we get 15 people.

Other details

Ample parking space
Timings 10AM to 6:30 PM

Go Karting Details

Number Of laps: 4
Lenght of a lap : 2KM
Cost : Rs. 150 (also included in the 699 package)

Dirt Racing Details

Number of Laps : 1
Lenght of a lap : 1.5KM
Cost for a bike : Rs. 200 and is a single seater.
Cost for the ATB: Rs. 300 and is a double seater.
Dirt Racing is not included in 399 and 699 Package, but it can be included in the Customized Corporate package.

Also I had called them few days back where another Lady picked the phone.. She told me that if we are about 10 of us and are opting for 699 package we will get 10% off if we go to their office at Innovative Multiplex. We can save 699 bucks.

Its a bit far, so it will also seem like a one day school trip and since its just a single day we can go by car as well. Guys give your inputs on the cost and the days you are free...
