Farewell 19-05-2006

One of the best part in my life: Engineering

The four years of engineering went by so fast. Academically what i remember is for the first month of the semester nothing is done (we just wait for our previous semester results), then starts the first internals. Three internals with a gap of a month and in no time 3 months are gone. Now there is cricket, throw ball and other stuffs in between these months. Three months have passed in a blink. Then is the lab records, assignments and lab internals in the fourth month and at the end of the fourth month starts the study holidays and lab externals and continues to the fifth month. Fifth month we have our Externals. and finally our semester holidays for a month. In no time a semester is over and the waiting game starts again.

When I joined East Point, I never thought that these four years will be happiest years of my life. I loved the company of my friends. Am proud to say that the Friendships that i have made in my engineering is now more than 7 years old. Its very hard or rather impossible to have so many friends for such a long time. Though I have been close to a very few of them, i have also had a good time with others. I will never forget our IS Cricket team, which will walk into the ground without any practice and invariably walk out with a winning note. The only team (out of 17 teams) who had girls in their cheer group. The days in which we played late and did not get and source to get back home. On one such day we took the brick tractor to reach Avalahalli after winning a cricket match, the days we cheered for our throw-ball team, the walks from our college to Bidrahalli bus stop was so much fun every single day, the bus rides in the college bus that was filled with chattering mouths and non stop FM, the days we bunked classes using sports, culturals and ISE forum as excuse, the days we argued with our lecturers, the days when we were thrown out of our classes, the days we got caught for something, the days in which we were late to class, the days in which we made fun of our lecturers, the days when we played hand tennis with our class mates in the class during breaks, the days when we struggled not to sleep in class after the lunch break, the days when we ate our lunch during the class hours, the days when we couldn't control our laughter in class, the days when our friends got caught for something and the way we laughed about it, and lots more.
those fearless days of youth are gone. If I could rewind time then I will come back to relive these days!!!

With time memories fade, but not the ones like the birthday treats and birthday bumps, the fun we had in ragging the juniors and the frolic we had after getting caught, the mass bunks, the Kannada and English classes which we never attended, the break time chai ritual, the shared egg puffs and mountain dews, the group studies, the internals, the internal questions, the corridor talks with other class students during breaks, the prayers that i sang in others ears during assembly, the holidays, the naughty pranks, the bike rides and drops, the exams and its fear, Visiting friend's place, the 3hour lab periods which we finished in 1hour, the fights, the rackets in class, the rumors, the celebrations, the long queues for paying examination fees, the last minute preparations, the last glances of the books which we never opened after the exams, the 3hour exams where i couldn't control my pee, the tension of exam results, the shameless laughs shared after having a back or bad results, the revaluations, the ever postponing assignment dead lines, the unsubmitted assignments, the talks during class hours, the discussions about previous day's match and movies, the happiness in making other class students jealous, the friendship bands, the smses, the gud mrng and gud nite msgs, the movies, the things we shared, the stupid jokes, the pulling of others legs,

Those happy old days are gone but not out of my heart
I thank you all who has been a part of this journey.
I wish I can be a student again and meet our friends every day!!!

I have failed to make much better memories after the farewell. All of these are making me live another day.

An Irish Blessing to all of my FRIENDS

A sunbeam to warm you,
A moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you.
